Delete your Cartily account

This page is for Cartily, the local shop directory published by AccountShark LLC. You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app or the website. You do not need to ask anyone, and it costs nothing.

How to delete it

In the Cartily app on iPhone or Android, or at cartily.co in a browser:

Sign in as the account you want removed.
Open the Account tab.
Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no waiting period, and it cannot be undone — we cannot restore an account afterwards, so download or copy anything you want to keep first.

What is deleted

Everything tied to the account goes at the same moment:

the account itself, with its email address and phone number if one was added;
unused sign-in codes and every signed-in session on every device;
any shop you created, including its name, story, products, hours, pickup area or address, and updates;
the photos you uploaded to that shop, removed from our image storage;
your follows and the shops you had hidden.

Your shop pages stop being reachable on cartily.co at once. Search engines and other people's devices may keep copies of pages they already saw for a while, which is outside our control.

What is kept

Email you sent us. Messages to support@cartily.co stay in our mailbox unless you ask us to delete them.
Operational logs. Our hosting providers keep short-lived request and security logs, which age out on their own schedule and are not used to rebuild a deleted account.
Records we must keep by law, if any apply — for example a report of abuse we are required to retain.

Nothing on that list is used to identify you to other people on Cartily, and none of it is sold or shared for anyone else's purposes.

Delete some things and keep your account

You do not have to close the account to remove something from it. In your shop's dashboard you can delete an update you posted, remove a photo you uploaded, and edit or clear your story, products, hours and pickup details. Each of those takes effect immediately, and a deleted photo is removed from our image storage as well as from the page.

For anything you cannot reach yourself, write to support@cartily.co from the address on the account and say what you want removed.

A profile you never claimed

Cartily publishes clearly marked starter profiles for some local businesses, drawn from information those businesses have already made public. A profile like that is not attached to any account, so deleting an account does not remove it. To take one down, open the profile and use Request removal, or write to support@cartily.co from an address the business has published.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@cartily.co from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm the address before removing anything, and we will not ask you for a password — Cartily has none.
