Notifications and Choices

Last updated: September 22, 2026

Following a shop helps you find it again. Phone alerts are a separate choice: you decide which shops and update types may notify you, and your device must also allow Cartily notifications.

Choose your updates

Cartily offers in-app updates and optional phone notifications for shop openings and seller-authored updates. A shop owner may post information such as a restock, temporary closure or change of hours. Use the shop’s alert settings to choose the available update types or turn them off.

Cartily does not send shop-opening or promotional SMS, or shop-opening announcements by email. If you choose phone sign-in, a one-time verification text is separate from these alerts and does not subscribe you to them. Account sign-in emails are also separate from promotional communications.

Enable phone alerts

On a supported iPhone or iPad, add Cartily to your Home Screen and open it from that icon. Then open a followed shop’s alert settings, choose On my phone, and respond to the device’s permission prompt. Compatible Android and desktop browsers may offer phone or browser alerts through their own permission controls. Availability depends on your browser and operating-system version.

Allowing device notifications does not require enabling every shop. You can change per-shop preferences in Cartily and change permission for the app or site in your device or browser settings. If permission is denied, Cartily cannot override that choice.

Mute or stop updates

Turn off a shop’s alert choices or unfollow it to stop future delivery from that shop. Hiding a shop also stops its future updates to your account. Signing out on a device stops notifications to that device. You can disable Cartily notifications for the whole device in system or browser settings. These actions cannot retract a notification already delivered or copied.

Delivery and message history

Sellers post updates immediately and are subject to sending limits. Connectivity, browser behavior, Focus settings and service interruptions can affect when or whether a notification appears. Cartily cannot promise that every message will be seen.

An opening or restock message describes the situation when posted and does not reserve a product or guarantee it remains available. Tap through to the current shop profile and confirm time-sensitive details with the seller. Cartily is not an emergency alert service.

Lock-screen privacy

Your device may display notification text on its lock screen. Use your device’s preview settings if you prefer to hide that text. Cartily’s notification templates do not automatically include private pickup addresses; open the shop page for current location information. Information a seller intentionally publishes in a message can be copied and cannot be recalled from every device.

Help

Contact support@cartily.co with the shop name, approximate time, device/browser and a description of the problem. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or push subscription details. See the Privacy Policy for how notification data is handled.
