Follow a shop and choose your alerts
Following saves a shop to your Cartily following feed. Alerts are a separate choice, so you can keep a shortlist without receiving a notification for every shop.
Choose the updates you want
Sign in, open a shop and follow it. Open that shop’s alert settings, select the available choices and save. In-app opening updates appear in Cartily’s inbox. Phone notifications also need permission on the device you are using.
Seller-written updates have their own preference when offered. Review the choices rather than assuming that following enables every kind of message.
Using the website on an iPhone
Open Cartily in Safari and use Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open the Home Screen app, sign in and enable phone notifications from the shop’s alert settings. The ordinary Safari tab cannot provide this web-app notification permission.
If you also use the Cartily iPhone app, it has its own notification permission. Turning notifications on in one does not turn them on in the other.
If nothing appears
Check that you followed the intended shop, saved its phone preference and allowed notifications in the device’s settings. Focus settings can silence presentation, so also look in Notification Center.
Opening alerts have frequency limits. Closing and reopening a shop repeatedly is not a reliable way to test a new notification. Signing out stops that session’s notifications.
Stay in control
Return to a shop’s alerts to change your choices. Device permission controls whether the phone can show notifications at all; the saved shop preference controls which shop you want to hear from.
An opening notification links back to the shop. Read the current profile before travelling because the seller’s availability may have changed since the alert was sent.
