How to Plan a Stand Crawl With Cartily's My Trail

The fun of a stand crawl is discovering places you would not have found on an ordinary errand. The hard part can be working out which towns to visit, which stands are open, and how not to spend the whole afternoon doubling back. Cartily's crawl pages and My Trail help you choose a route that fits your day.

Start with the crawl, not a random list of pins

In the Cartily app, look for Crawls or open Filters to find a crawl near you. A crawl page groups the participating stands and may include resources from its organizer, such as a printable passport, rules, or useful links. Read those first if you are collecting stamps or entering a prize drawing. Cartily helps with discovery and routing; the organizer runs the event and sets its rules.

You can search the crawl for a stand name or choose a town. Nothing has to be added to your trail automatically. Pick the stops you want, or use Add all for a town if you really plan to visit them all. If the crawl marks passport pickup spots, look at those before deciding where to begin.

Build a route around the day you actually have

Three nearby stops can make a lovely outing. Thirty stops in ten towns may need more than one day. Add your choices to My Trail, then put them in an order that works with opening hours, travel time, and the people coming with you. A stand with an early sellout is often worth putting first. A farm stop with eggs or another chilled purchase may be better near the end of the drive; bring a cooler when appropriate.

Open the trail in Apple Maps or Google Maps when you are ready for directions. For a longer route, Cartily opens navigation one leg at a time so every stop can receive directions. Use the next-leg controls as you go. Cartily plans the stops; your maps app handles the turn-by-turn driving.

Check each stand again before you leave

An event page may show scheduled hours, while a small stand's plans can change with weather, baking time, harvest, or a sellout. Open the shop page for its latest details and check the seller's own recent updates or social page on the day of your visit. If you are going for one particular item, contact the seller when their ordering instructions invite it. Adding a stop to My Trail does not reserve inventory.

If the organizer uses a paper passport, follow its instructions for pickup, stamps, and drop-off. Saving a Cartily stop does not count as a passport stamp or prize entry. For the 918 Stand Crawl, Cartily's event guide explains that distinction.

Leave room for a new favorite

Plan enough to avoid a closed cart, but not so tightly that you cannot talk to a baker or linger at a farm stand. If you find a place you want to revisit, follow its Cartily shop after the crawl. You can choose which updates you want from that shop, so next month's batch does not depend on remembering a name from a paper passport.

The best route is one you can enjoy. A couple of good stops, an unhurried drive, and a bag of something made nearby are already a successful crawl.
